I am looking for a liquid level sensor, which can sense the liquid inside a PVC bottle which has a aluminum jacket with maximum wall thickness of 1/4 of inch, the sensor can be mounted with a pvc holder and can have a gap to the aluminum jacket.

Any number of level control solutions can be found at "www.almegcontrols.com":http://www.almegcontrols.com The site shows some standard small plastic and stainless units as well custom ideas and through the wall side mount type.

Capacitance models are available with a 3/4" NPT in standard lengths. A small dual point all self contained unit with a relay is available as well - requires only a power supply. The cap. products are not on line yet. Level can be sensed as a high and low point or continuous with either relay, 3 wire or 4-20 output.

The aluminum around the tank is going to make it difficult to use capacitive as a technology to measure the level in the tank. You might have to use a "sensor well" to look through the aluminum. Take a look at our web site.
