Dear Sir,
Morning. I am working on the ABB "Conductor NT Ver 4.0" DCS.
This Conductor NT Ver 4.0 supports only Windows 2000 Operating System, the new Workstation PCs we received loaded with the Windows 10 Operating System.
The New workstation Computer Supplier informing that , he will load the Virtual Winodws 2000 OS on the top of the Windows 10 Operating system. Does any forum members loaded their DCS Conductor NT ver 4.0 on Virtual Windows 2000 Operating System? Please advise.
1. He is saying that load the Windows 10 Operating System.
2. Set the Computer name Physical & IP Address say 100.100.10.30 for the Windows 10 operating System (Physical Machine)
3. Load the Vmware Player ver 15 on to the PC.
3. Load the licensed "Virtual Windows 2000 Pro" Operating System downloaded from " Vmware Player"
4. Set the Computer name Virtual & IP address say 100.100.10.31 for the Virtual Windows 2000 Operating System ( Virtual PC)

7. Install the ABB DCS Conductor NT Ver 4.0 and connect to the Conductor Ver 4.0 Server.
8.Please advise, what are the Pro or cons?

Thanks & Regards,
