I would like to know if this type of control is/will be obsolete to current industry standards. New in 2005.

Siemens 840D Computer Numerical Control
Vertically Adjustable Boom Mounted Operators Station
Software for Contouring Head
Hand Held Remote with Digital Readout and Manual Pulse Generator

 

If it is Siemens product, I suggest you to ask Siemens service department to make sure that it is produced or not.
