I'm using both pulse outputs (pulse & direction) on an Omron CJ1M-CPU22 PLC with CX-Programmer v3.01 and can't get the origin search function to work on either channel.

On the "Define Origin 1" and "Define Origin 2" tabs under the settings menu I have checked the "Use define origin operation" box and entered all of the parameters. When I issue an origin search or origin return command nothing happens - no motion and no errors. All other motion control functions work properly (ACC, SPED, PULS, etc.). Am I missing something?

 

Turn off the PLC. Set the CPU unit's DIP switch 1 to OFF (User program memory -> read/write). Power on then check the tab for Define Origin Search. Power off and on PLC again. Hope this will solve your problem. Good luck.
