Mineral Insulated Cable Ex e II and EEx e II

Dears,
I recently took charge of reviewing all descriptions of materials (trying to remove duplicates & dummies) on Site Requisitions. I noticed 2 different descriptions:

MINERAL INSULATED CABLE, 230 V, 700 °C, 10400 OHM/KM, DUAL, ALLOY 825, Ex e II
MINERAL INSULATED CABLE, 230 V, 700 °C, 10400 OHM/KM, DUAL, ALLOY 825, EEx e II

According to an electrical engineer, he "supposes" the EEx is a typo error and the Explode protection is only to be Ex, is it correct? I found so many EEx in Mineral Insulated descriptions that I am being a bit reluctant to getting rid of it from our catalog.

I really appreciate if someone can help. Thank you.

@gps82...
The high resistance indicates to me that perhaps its used for heating concrete slabs for plazas or the like!
I used something like it in 1962 for the Pay-Plaza of the Verrazzano Bridge in New York City!
