while setting up the DNP3, we need to setup DATA TYPE of variables, such as BINARY INPUTS, BINARY OUTPUT STATUS,DOUBLE INPUTs,..... and so on.
In Modbus, data types are actually memory location of Modbus device. Is it the same for DNP3?
Data transferred to SCADA or HMI by DNP3. RTU is Slave and SCADA is MASTER.
Do we have any simple explanation for these DATA TYPEs? Are there DATA TYPEs same as Modbus? Or they are just DATA categorization for gathered data from field device?
