Should I use a Regenerative Drive?
Without regeneration capability you are not realizing any savings. Any "braking" energy is dissipated as heat in the drive capacitors or dynamic braking resistors, not injected back into the power line. You will have to determine the amount of energy which is being dissipated when the drives...

Really Long Panel Feeder - How to Connect to Panel and Feeder Breaker?
How did you arrive at needing 4 x 350 MCM per phase? Maybe recheck your calcs. I'm thinking one 500 MCM per phase would result in about .075 V drop per ampere at 850 ft.

DYNA Guide
Keep in mind that the current signal input to the dynaguide determines if the spool is shifted, and therefore oil flowing to the power cylinder. It's not clear from the drawing, but I guess the LVDT provides feedback of the lever position, and the control then modulates the dynaguide coil...

DYNA Guide
When current is being applied, after the initial shift, the jet pipe returns to center due to the feedback spring mechanism (stabilized condition), but the spool remains shifted. When the spool is shifted, oil will flow, even if the jet pipe is centered.

DYNA Guide
Dynaguide is the name of a jet pipe type servo valve which was manufactured by Nireco. Google "jet pipe servo valve" and you will find information from other manufacturers.

Unplanned Downtime
From a user perspective, reducing delay rate/unplanned downtime is commonly done using preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, but another rarely mentioned method is to use continuous improvement. Continuous improvement methods can be used in the following way : For each unplanned...

Themocouple Ferrules and Sleeves Wiring
You do not need ferrules or sleeves made of thermocouple material. You also don't need T/C material terminal blocks as long as where the termination is made, both legs of the T/C circuit are at the same temperature, which in most cases, they are, since they are typically adjacent to each other.

Error from Type K Extension vs Thermocouple Wire
I have used a similar arrangement to what you describe, but inside the furnace I use a MgO insulated sheath type T/C, instead of running insulated T/C wire and creating at junction by twisting. It will survive in that environment. I have used these in reducing atmosphere annealing furnace temps...
